Overview

Stainless steel angle steel is a long strip of steel with two perpendicular sides. There are two main types: equilateral and unequal-sided. Equilateral stainless steel angle steel has equal side widths, specified in millimeters (e.g., ∠25×25×3 means a side width of 25 mm and side thickness of 3 mm).

Types and Specifications

  1. Equilateral Stainless Steel Angle Steel: Both sides have equal width.
  2. Unequal-Sided Stainless Steel Angle Steel: One side is longer than the other and can be further divided into equal-thickness and unequal-thickness categories.

The specifications are expressed by side length and side thickness. For example, "2#" refers to a side length of 2 cm. Stainless steel angle steel is available in sizes ranging from 2# to 20# domestically. Imported versions specify actual side lengths and thicknesses.

Manufacturing and Delivery

The raw material is a low-carbon square billet, and the finished product is delivered in hot-rolled, normalized, or hot-rolled states. The delivery length can be fixed or multiple lengths, with domestic lengths ranging from 3 to 19 meters and Japanese lengths from 6 to 15 meters.

  • GB/T2101-89: General provisions for acceptance, packaging, marking, and quality certificates
  • GB9787-88/GB9788-88: Size, shape, weight, and allowable deviation of hot-rolled equilateral/unequal-sided stainless steel angle steel
  • JIS G3192-94: Shape, size, weight, and allowable deviation of hot-rolled steel
  • DIN17100-80: Quality standard of ordinary structural steel
  • ГОСТ535-88: Technical conditions of ordinary carbon steel
